Anti-Racism Resources
Interpersonal Racism
Interpersonal Racism is racism that occurs between individuals. This can range from violence and blatant discrimination to various types of microaggressions.
Institutional Racism
Racism permeates nearly every institution in the United States, and understanding institutional racism is critical to understanding the experience of African Americans.
White Privilege
We commonly hear the argument that one believes they do not have white privilege because they grew up in a disadvantaged environment. However, white privilege does not mean your socioeconomic privilege. It means you have not faced hardships specifically because of your race.
Individual Racism
Individual Racism is a person’s own racist beliefs or behaviors - both conscious and unconscious. You may be thinking, “I’m not racist, so I don’t need to learn about individual racism.” However, there are many facets of individual racism that permeate our world outlook whether we recognize it or not.
