Natalia (Nat) Brown joined National Debt Relief (NDR) in 2010 as the 12th employee for the organization. She is a certified debt specialist, has risen through the organization over the last 14 years and has become a powerhouse in the financial community. Nat is now its Chief Compliance and Consumer Affairs Officer, focusing on representing and advocating for the company’s clients by ensuring NDR upholds and follows best-in-class practices.
Prior to her current role, Nat served as Chief Client Operations Officer, where she played a vital role in NDR’s client journey, overseeing all client-facing operations of the business. She managed a team of more than 400 representatives, servicing more than 200,000 clients on their path to financial stability with an unmatched level of support and guidance. Before that, Nat held various positions of increasing responsibility across client-focused teams, including Client Success, Training and Development, and Negotiations. Nat is passionate about helping people with the financial literacy and education needed to achieve financial freedom and peace of mind by getting, and staying, out of debt.
In addition to being a board member of CommonBondz, Nat channels her passion for supporting and empowering underserved communities through extensive volunteerism across numerous nonprofits and industry organizations, including the nonprofit she co-founded, Inspiring Youth for Success (IYFS), which raises money and provides resources for children in underfunded schools across New York City. Nat is also an active volunteer with New Women New Yorkers, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting immigrant women in NYC with the tools to secure meaningful employment and advance their education. She is on the Advisory Council for The American College of Financial Services’ Center for Economic Empowerment and Equality, supporting initiatives that promote upward mobility and wealth building with a dedication to efforts advancing Black America and Black women, and she is an executive board member for the American Association for Debt Resolution, where she is at the forefront of efforts to regulate and elevate the debt settlement industry.
Nat holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lehman College and is pursuing a master’s in operations and project management from Southern New Hampshire University. She is a native New Yorker and a devoted mother to two sons who inspire her to be the best she can every day.
